Hi, I'm Anastasiya

When was the last time you took yourself to a Lavender Farm?

I can imagine it’s been a while, or, most likely, you’ve yet to experience the unique magic of an abundance of Lavandula. But believe me, by the end of this post, you’ll be scouting out the nearest farm to you.

To me, Lavender has always represented peace of mind, joy, and exhalation, and I always keep a small bag of seeds with me to use when my mind starts to race.

Just holding it in my hand brings me peace.

So, when my brother, Maxim, and I decided to spend our day together driving 2.5 hours south of Denver to Cotopaxi, Colorado to discover a farm of lavender, I was giddy with joy.

And thankfully, the experience was better than I could’ve dreamt of. If you’re interested in learning more about what they sell, year-round and seasonally, you can check out their FB Page here.

So, let me tell you about one of the sweetest spots I’ve ever found: Colorado Mountain Lavender.

The Drive.

Colorado Lavender Farm is a simple 2.5-hour drive from Denver. To get there, you’ll drive through Castle Rock, Colorado Springs, and Canon City, which are all easy towns to pass through. The drive itself isn’t necessarily the most thrilling, but it’s simple, which is exactly what we need.

QUICK NOTE: It’s a small spot that is easily missed when driving by. So pay special attention to the GPS when it says it’s on the left. And you probably won’t have service at this point, as well.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greated by a sweet building which is where you’ll find the lavender products that they make and sell, like lavender infused soaps, salts, lotions, skin care, candles, food, and drinks.

Maxim and I really enjoyed the Lavender Lemonade.

What To Expect.

So, we paroused the products, grabbed our Lavender Lemonade, and were ready to explore the farm.

Now, fair warning, it is a small farm…so, our recommendation is to take your time and absorb the beauty of the lavender, the farm, and Colorado slowly and intentionally, which is what you should be doing regardless, but a helpful tip.

Once you cross the bridge onto your expedition and walk a bit up the trail, you’ll see the first garden of lavender to the left. Walk on down and admire the beautiful herbs. But please, don’t touch the beauty, just admire.

As you continue up the path, you’ll quickly end up at the 2nd garden where you can pick your own bunch of lavender. That’s right, your own bunch to take home with you…amazing.

Very romantic and truly delightful.

Once you get to this point, you can either pick your bunch of make the loop back to the entrance.

Love and Wine.

Maxim and I skipped out on picking our own bunch, but we did love seeing the happy faces of the people who did.

By the way, is picking your own lavender not the best way to celebrate a birthday? Or a special occasion? Or maybe even the perfect start to a proposal? Sounds pretty perfect to me.

Once we took the loop back to the entrance, we took some time to sit next to the first garden and absorb the calming landscape around us. This was probably my favorite part. And once we were ready to head out, we made a last minute stop to try the wine tasting that was available and sat on the patio admiring the incoming storm.

A perfect day with someone I love so much.

Sooo, have you fallen in love yet?

I’m sure you have, but you definitely need to make your way out to Cotopaxi, Colorado first to make sure. But once you’re here, you’ll never want to leave.

Like the perfect love story.

Love, Anastasiya
