Hi, I'm Anastasiya

Can you feel the divine Spring air flowing in lately?

I certainly can and it feels fantastic.

Now, I’ve never been much of a Spring lover…

I know it’s such a weird thing to say because what’s not to love about Spring?

Nature comes back to life, the sun begins to shine more, and it feels utterly refreshing to feel renewed after a long winter.

But, have you heard of Spring allergies? Yeah, it’s deadly…

Nonetheless, my favorite way to celebrate the beauty of Spring is by playing with makeup and using the shades and tones of Spring itself to create a look that brings me as much joy as the blooming flowers around me.

In fact, it’s been so beautiful outside lately, wouldn’t you agree?

Even if you live in a climate where springtime brings endless rainfall and gray clouds…

There’s just something special about appreciating the sweetness of renewal.

Plus, if you do live in a predominantly gray climate, incorporating color into your makeup look can instantly brighten your day…

Or, even for the people around you.

Nonetheless, I want to share with you a super simple glowy makeup look that can easily be done in 10 minutes.

Nothing better than feeling glowy on the inside and out.

Let’s jump to the details.

The Products

Let’s Start With The Glowy Base…

Okay, I love letting my skin breathe as the season begins to change.

In this case, I prefer to use base products that I can mix together to create a light layer of glow, with some coverage as well.

So, for this look, I mixed my Supergoop! Glowscreen SPF 40 Sunscreen with Hyaluronic Acid + Niacinamide in the shade Golden Hour and my Makeup by Mario SurrealSkin Liquid Foundation in the shade 7C.

You don’t need much product at all, yet the combo covers your skin flawlessly and delicately.

Which I love for Spring.

If you’re not into foundation and prefer a tinted moisturizer, I currently don’t have a favorite, but I’m very interested in trying the Kosas BB Burst Tinted Moisturizer Gel Cream with Copper Peptides.

It looks so glowy and delicious on the skin, I can’t WAIT to try it.

For myself, I intend to try the shade Medium Neutral Olive 22 – medium with neutral olive undertones.

Or you can always just stick with a glowy sunscreen, your choice.

Conceal and Feel

A hydrating concealer is essential, especially if you get Spring allergies like me.

We want some coverage but still want to let our undereyes shine.

So, which concealer is best for that?

For this look, I used the Natasha Denona Hy-Glam Brightening & Hydrating Medium to Full Coverage Crease Proof Serum Concealer in the shade N8 – light-medium neutral.

What’s wonderful about this concealer is that although it’s technically described as full-coverage, which it very much is, when you apply a bit of it under the eyes, and then on the t-zones as well, it’s the perfect amount of hydrating coverage.

If you prefer something else, I am also in love with the Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer with Caffeine and Hyaluronic Acid in Tone 3.2 O – light+ with neutral olive undertones.

Seriously long names, right?

Let’s Talk About The Cheeky Cheeks

So, what makes a makeup look quintessentially Spring-inspired is the shade of blush we use.

Mostly because it’s what pops the most.

There are a million blush options out there, so enjoy finding your top favorites…

But in my case, I used my special combo of Makeup By Mario’s Soft Pop Plumping Blush Veil in the shade Rose Crush – spiced rose as the base color, then popped on the NARS Blush in the shade Dolce Vita – matte dusty rose.

It makes me so happy to wear a vibrant blush.

I love to apply it on my face where I would naturally get a sunburn to mimic a natural look.

Another absolute favorite of mine, if you’re looking for something with a little more vibrant color, is the Patrick Ta Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo in the shade She’s a Doll – bright neutral pink.

The sweetest, most loveliest shade of pink that’s bound to brighten your day.

Oh, side note…

I am SO EXCITED to try the new Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush in the shade Happy – cool pink and Truth – mauve maroon.

Ugh, Rare Beauty, like Spring, is the epitome of renewal and joy.

A Little Bit of Bronzer

I love to add a bit of bronzer to warm up my skin.

In this look, I used the Huda Beauty Tantour Contour & Bronzer Cream.

This isn’t the usual bronzer that I would use because I find it to fit better for a full-coverage glam look, but even then, it applies beautifully to the skin and makes me feel radiant.

For more of an everyday makeup look, I love using the Rare Beauty Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Sticks in the shade Happy Sol – light brown with cool undertones.

Is There Anything Better Than Highlighter?

The answer is no, highlighter is everything and more.

Whether you’re in the mood for a subtle glow or striking sparkle, highlighter is your girl for the job.

For this look, I used the Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlight in the shade Mesmerize – rose bronze.

Then, I added the holy grail highlighter….

That’s right, Fenty Beauty baby.

The Fenty Beauty Killawat Freestyle Highlighter in the shade Wattabrat – 3d baby pink shimmer is ridiculous in the best way possible.

If you don’t own a killawatt highlighter, specifically in this shade, or lord, buy one right one you’ll be obsessed.

Eyes Are The Window To The Soul

I adore a splash of color and shimmer to the eyes on any day, but especially to celebrate Spring.

When I was thinking about which eyeshadow palette to use for this look, I was immediately drawn to the Rare Beauty Discovery Eyeshadow Palette – Give Yourself Grace.

It simply screams joy and the shades invite you to play.

I used the shade Happy – dusty rose matte as the base, then added a bit of Hope – nude mauve metallic on top.

And for mascara, my go-to is the Lancôme HYPNÔSE DRAMA Instant Full Body Volume Mascara.

Last But Not Least, The Lips

Who doesn’t love luscious, pink lips for Spring?

I appreciate hydration on the lips, especially since Colorado has an ultra-dry climate…

So I knew I wanted to use the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil in the shade Wonder – rose mauve, then top it off with a layer of gloss.

So I looked no further than my forever favorite, the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminzer in the shade Pretty Please.

But, this shade was solely part of her holiday collection, and doesn’t sell individual shades of this color…

Have no fear, I have two fabulous alternatives that are just as perfect.

The same lip gloss but in the shade Fenty Glow – shimmering rose nude or $weet Mouth – shimmering soft pink.

And ta-da, we have our simple, glowy 10-minute makeup look, ready for Spring.

That was fun, right?

Yes, it was and now it’s your turn!

Whichever products you have at home, I’m sure they’re perfect to re-create this look or create your own go-to Spring-inspired makeup look.

Whatever inspires you, follow it.

And once you’ve got your makeup on, you need somewhere to adventure, right?

Absolutely.

So in this case, take a look at my list of 8 Top-Tier Denver Cafes You’re Gonna Love or take an easy drive to Boulder, CO, and visit the Beautiful Spanish & Moroccan Restaurant I Instantly Loved.

Both are perfect choices.

Love,

Anastasiya
