Hi, I'm Anastasiya

Mermaid hair.

What’s your summer fruit of choice?

Let’s imagine it. You’re sitting at the beach with your feet buried in sand like a mermaid, or maybe in the mountains having a picnic amongst the wildflowers, and with you is a plate of your favorite fruit.

Which fruit do you imagine enjoying?

I only ask because when I think of summer, I automatically envision being somewhere wonderful with a refreshing drink (white peach lemonade anyone?) and a refreshing plate of fruit with me.

My personal choice? Watermelon and peaches.

And you know what else gets me giddy about the summer sun?

Makeup.

So what’s better than creating a makeup look that gives hints to one of my favorite summer fruits: peaches

And by the way…

Peach is a beautiful color to wear, specifically in the summer. It melts into the skin and gives a sincerely natural flush of color. Ahh, it’s dreamy.

So for this look, I’m breaking down the products I used and listing my top-favorite peach toned products that are bound to become your new favorite summer-insipred makeup products.

This is gonna be good.

We Can’t Ignore The Hair.

Okay I know you’re here for makeup, but I just wanted to mention some products I used to achieve this hairstyle. I personally really love it in particular for summer – makes me feel like a mermaid on land.

So I just wanted to give some lovin’ to the products because they make my hair dreams come true.

This is everything I use after I wash my hair…

The Mermaid Haircare Products:

A Burnt Peach.

Have you ever tried grilled peaches with burrata? Oh my goodness gracious, it’s heavenly.

Personally, I love it when dishes have a nice flavorful char (aka partially burnt). I enjoy the smokeyness of the grilled burn. And you know what, I like the same effect with my makeup.

As in, I love creating the effect of a sunburn with my blush.

I like how it gives the effect of a more natural flush on my cheeks, as if I just came back from the beach and had a little too much fun in the sun.

And a peachy-toned blush and/or eyeshadow, lip oil, etc., is my favorite way to achieve that look.

Let’s breakdown everything I used for this look.

The Delicious Products.

First Off, The Base.

As you know, we love to glow. So first off (after hydrating skincare), I used a new product in my routine, the Elf Power Grip Primer. I usually use the MILK MAKEUP Hydro Grip Hydrating Makeup Primer with Hyaluronic Acid + Niacinamide which is my favorite gel makeup primer, but I thought I might as well try out the doupe from Elf to see how it compares.

I don’t think I can tell the difference between the two products, but I still favor MILK MAKEUP over Elf.

Next, I applied the L’Oréal Paris Glotion Natural Glow Enhancer Tinted Moisturizer for Face and Body and mixed it with my Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Liquid Foundation. I love this foundation so much, it’s so reliable and brings me so much joy to use.

I applied the glow and foundation with my Rare Beauty Liquid Touch Foundation Brush, then blended it with my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

Next On The List.

Next, I used one of my new favorite concealers the Fenty Beauty We’re Even Hydrating Longwear Waterproof Concealer. I apply it under my eyes and a little bit where I typically get shiny on my forehead and chin.

For bronzer, I used the HUDA BEAUTY Tantour Contour & Bronzer Cream and for blush I used the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in the color Joy – a dewy muted peach. To add a bit of a sunburn effect, I add a light layer of the NARS Talc-Free Powder Blush in the color Dolce Vita – 888 – matte dusty rose.

Utterly lovely, a fabulous combo.

A Little Something For The Eyes.

For the eyes, I used the Charlotte Tilbury The Beautyverse PaletteGod, this is so good. I used the shade Virtual Taupe as the base, then a wash of Golden Galaxy on top. I love this palette so much.

I used the Morphe M453 Crease Blender Eyeshadow Brush and the Morphe M173 Chubby Buffer Concealer Brush. to apply and blend out the shadows.

Juicy Lips.

If we’re creating a makeup look inspired by a peach, we must make sure the lips are juicy like a peach. In this case, I used the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil also in the color Joymutted peach, then added the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in the color Fenty Glowshimmering rose nude.

Delicious.

The Finale.

I don’t know about you, but I love applying highlighter for the grand finale. I think it’s my favorite step of the makeup process, it’s the best finishing touch.

For this look, I used my tried-and-true Rare Beauty Positive Light Liquid Luminizer Highlighter, then added a little bit of the Rare Beauty Positive Light Silky Highlighter on top.

Love.

Quick List of Peachy Products.

In case you don’t have the particular products I used for this look, here are a handful of other peachy products that would work.

Et Voila.

There you have, a burnt peach and gold shimmer summer makeup look, just for you.

If you want to look like you’re a radiant mermaid that just came out of the water, I recommend trying out some peachy products. It’s always a good idea.

And I know you’re here for the gold shimmer, but I’d like to introduce you to an alternative shade for a summer evening or another daytime look…

That’s right, I’m talking about purple shimmer.

Curious? I thought so. Click here to see my next makeup look – How To: Daytime Makeup With Purple Shimmer.

Love,
